My 13 year old Kalkhoff Pedelec Electric Bike had been quite noisy of late and it seemed like the chain was slipping. I took it into my local Bike Shop to have it checked out. They said it needed a new chainring but they had been unable to source one. Kalkhoff had stopped making them for this model. I was about to give up and buy a new bike but had one last go at sourcing the part myself. I tried numerous bike shops, eBay and Dr Google with no luck. I finally came across Jonathan at Boing biking who said he might be able to source the part. Sure enough he came up with the goods. The chainring has been fitted and the bike is working fine again. Great service from Jonathan who will be my first port of call if I need to source any other parts.
